Does SVT hold all rights to the material regarding clip sales?
SVT holds the producer´s rights in the material and grants these rights. Third party rights – including music, artists and works of arts – in SVT productions are usually cleared for SVT platforms. For all further usage any underlying rights needs to be cleared by licensee.
How do you calculate your license fees?
SVT Sales’s license fees are based on many factors, such as type of project, amount of footage and the rights requested (media and platforms, territory, license period). License fees are usually on a per minute basis.
Can I buy a copy from SVT Sales for research purposes only?
As a scientist, researcher or journalist you can contact the National Library of Sweden (KB), which has copies of SVT programs. For further information (in Swedish). External link, opens in new window.
As a teacher, can I buy a copy from SVT Sales for educational use?

Can I buy a copy from SVT Sales for use in a legal process?
No, SVT does not release any material without a duty of disclosure from a court. For further information please contact programetik@svt.se
Can I buy stills from SVT Sales?
SVT has a large still image archive, but all sales are handled by TT News Agency, please contact sales@tt.se or +46 8 692 2615. However, freeze frames are available directly from SVT Sales.
Can I buy a copy from SVT Sales for personal use?

Can I buy an audio copy from Swedish Radio (SR)?
No, SVT and SR are separate companies. Please contact licensiering@sverigesradio.se
